Vrancea: DJ 205E and DJ 205B bridges over the Șușița

Vrancea County signed two contracts for the reinforced-concrete bridges over the Șușița on 14 October 2026. They are lots 1 and 3 of award notice CAN1176038, published on e-licitatie.ro on 16 October 2026. Together they are worth 35,158,527.15 RON, which is 6,600,805 EUR at the exchange rate in our data.

This is the second Vrancea bridge notice in a week. The first one covered the bridges at Suraia and Nistorești. This one covers the construction and rehabilitation of three more crossings, and it gives a length for each of them.

Two of three lots are in our data

The authority is the county council, Județul Vrancea, seated in Focșani. The CPV code is 45221110-6, construction work for bridges. The notice lists three bridges as three lots (notice).

The same two companies appear on both lots. Lot 2, the bridge on DJ 204B over the Râmnicu Sărat at Tătăranu, is written in the notice as 121 m long. It is not among the contracts we hold for this notice, so this article says nothing about its contractor or value.

What the notice states about the bridges

The notice gives each bridge a length in its title line. Lot 1 reads "L=144m", lot 2 "L=121m", and lot 3 "L = l55,00 m", which is 155 m with a letter in place of the digit one. The works are described as building and rehabilitating "trei poduri din beton armat", three reinforced-concrete bridges.

For the rehabilitation, the notice describes the existing structure being kept and the deck replaced:

Podul existent va suferi lucrări de reabilitare, prin înlocuirea suprastructurii existente si montarea unor grinzi prefabricate precomprimate cu lungimea de 18,00 m

That is a bridge whose existing superstructure is replaced by prestressed precast girders of 18.00 m each. A second sentence gives the layout that stays the same:

Numărul de deschideri va rămâne același, respectiv 8, lățimea parții carosabile va fi de 7,80m, iar lățimea totală a podului va fi de 11,40 m

The number of spans stays at 8, the carriageway is 7.80 m wide and the whole bridge is 11.40 m wide. In the text we hold, the notice does not say which lot each of these two sentences belongs to, and this article does not assign them.

Bearings, piers and foundations

A third sentence lists the other structural elements:

Alte elemente constructive presupun aparate de reazem din neopren, infrastructura alcătuita din 2 culei si 7 pile din beton armat, fundații indirecte pe piloți forați, îmbrăcăminte pe pod beton asfaltic, sferturi de con pereate la racordări

It names neoprene bearings, a substructure of 2 abutments and 7 reinforced-concrete piers, indirect foundations on bored piles, an asphalt-concrete surfacing on the bridge and paved cone quarters where the bridge meets the embankments. It gives the counts of abutments and piers. It does not give pile diameters, pile lengths or a number of girders.

What the notice leaves to the documentation

In the description we hold, the notice names no guardrail, parapet or safety barrier and gives no length of any. It gives no cubic metres of concrete, no number of bearings and no number of girders. These quantities, if they are stated, are in the technical documentation that the notice refers to. This article adds no totals of its own.

The notice also names no supplier and no product standard. Who will deliver girders, bearings or piles is not stated, and this article makes no guess. The precast concrete page collects signed contracts that name prestressed and precast elements.

The notice's budget lines and the council's own figures

The notice states an estimated value for the whole procedure of 51,553,209.95 lei without VAT. Its largest line for each lot is the chapter for construction and installations: 14,480,124.03 lei for lot 1 and 19,456,466.82 lei for lot 3. These are budget chapters, not quantities, and they are estimates, not the awarded values in the table.

A county council announcement on the four bridge contracts of this programme lists the Câmpuri bridge at 144 m with a total value of 18,491,688 lei and the Panciu bridge at 155 m with an investment value of 24,050,128 lei. It calls both "consolidated" bridges. The announcement does not say on what basis its values are stated, so do not compare them directly with the awarded values above.

How fast the notice appeared

Both lots were signed on 14 October 2026 and published on 16 October, two days later. Across the 158 contracts signed in the last 30 days in our data, the median is 4 days from signature to publication, so this notice was faster than the usual one.
